aluminum and copper prices from Fresno

I went to the local yard with a load of aluminum scrap and I was surprised to see the prices have not really went down. In July I got .65 lb and today I got .63-lb. I was expecting it to be lower. It seems copper is the only thing to really go down.

Here are the prices I checked today.

aluminum .63- lb July price .65-lb
    aluminum cans 1.85-l july 1.85-lb
    #1copper 2.70-lb july 3.75-lb
    #2copper 2.60-lb July 3.65-lb
    #1steel 280-ton
    #2steel 270-ton

Oh they went down for sure, but now there coming back up again check out kitco.com it list historical and current spot prices for many kinds of metals for free. 2-3 months ago I was getting about .65 for Alum and 3.30 for copper last month it was down to .45 for alum and 2.30 for copper, thankfully its going back up now currently .55 for alum and 2.50 for copper. Thats alum cans and copper #2 btw for #1 I always get about .25 - .30 more than #2
