    Copper Transformer

I have been selling all my copper transformers and getting paid electric motor price $ .25 lbs. However, I noticed that Scrap Monster showed them being worth .30 cents lbs in December & then they jumped to $1.71 lbs. in January to present. Is this correct or is it an error?

I would guess it's an error. Why aren't you breaking down your transformers?

Honestly, Im a one man show and staying too busy to brake anything down right now. I need daily cash flow and the easiest & quickest way for my operation is selling my appliances & hauling a few loads of light iron weekly.

No, most my appliances need repair, but there is a good market for them here. All appliances, except dishwashers, Haven't found a good source to sell these yet.

Get a 4.5 inch cutoff wheel from harbor frieght, and a pack of the thin metal discs, use coupons and it will cost $15. If you need cash flow spend the 5 minutes per transformer if they are decent sizes you will get cash flow, I used to save them for rainy days when I had nothing to break down because I did it with a hammer and chisel, now I like to get into them b/c they are worth more $/min than anything else. I get them from grow lights and always cut them down.

Sure doesn't sound right, but then again I don't control pricing.
