Called the yard today and #1 was down .10 to 3.00 a pound in 2 weeks. #2 was down .15 to 2.85 a pound. Just wondering what everyone else was getting for #1 and #2.

Bear, is #2 insulated the same as 55% insulated?
Thanks for the prices. I feel a little better after seeing your prices bear.
i'm not sure Joe, that's the first time i took anything there for a long time, and i really don't think they have a very elaborate price structure, in fact, today i didn't even see a price list hanging like they used to have. Trouble is, it's about the only one convenient to me. I'm going to call another one tomorrow and see what their prices are, it's farther, and i'm seldom headed that way for just no other reason, but if the prices will cover the trip i'll consider it.
it was kinda disappointing, but if it makes yall feel a little better about your yards, i guess that's a good thing

Two days ago I got 2.85 for #1you copper it was 3.00 two weeks ago. .32 motors and transformers. 53 low grade wire and. 56 al
Yea that was an ******* thing for me to say. It would be nice if we could all get the same decent price.
So the trend I'm seeing is that the prices, for copper at least , are going down. Is copper maxed out or what? I've been doing some research and it looks like demand is going down slightly. I know the demand will never be at 0 but I'm wondering how low it will actually go. This is usually the time of year where prices rebound and rise from winter but it looks like it is going in the opposite way.
I'm really glad that I sold my 400 pounds of copper March 19th. Looks like that's when the slide started. I even negotiated an extra .10/lb over #1 price for selling the whole bunch - about half was #2 and sheet. Now I'm busy building another hoard from the loads of transformers and monitors I got.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
I have to take mine in every month (part of a contract) but my prices don't move around as much either.
Freon, what kind of contract do you have? Is it one with the scrap yard itself or something to do with your business.
Mick what kind of price did you get on the 19th?
Deal with the yard on #2 copper, field copper and radiators.
Last I saw around here was:
#1 $2.95
#2 $2.80
I can live with it!
2.90#1 2.80#2 at my Reg yard. The best price Ive find around here is 3$ for#1
