    Prices 4/28/12

What I got at my yard today in Louisiana.

    #1 copper 60 pounds @ 3.00=180.00
    #2 copper 23 pounds @ 2.85=65.55
    Red Brass 25 pounds @ 2.00=50.00
    Clean A/C 17 pounds @ 1.40=23.80
    SS 36 pounds @ .50=18.00
    Aluminum 42 pounds @ .45= 18.90
    Total 356.25

Not too happy about the ss and aluminum prices but at least that isn't the bulk of the material I get.

Toula, you taking you're stuff to Florida Parishes Scrap in Hammond? I call em every week to check their prices. Most times they paying .05-.10 cents less on most everything than yard in Eastside Recycling in Denham Springs. Right now they at .50 on alum. and .65 on S.S. Southern Scrap in Baton Rouge pays better on everything than all the rest tho. Idk, that might be getting a little too far out from ya tho.

2 weeks ago I was getting $0.14 a pound for shreddable iron. Today it went down 3 cents and is paying $0.11. I have been seeing other posters saying iron was going down and it is. Hopefully it will not continue down anymore.
