I have never used it to take a tv apart but give this a try. harbor freight sells a multi tool. You can get one for under $20 It should work for what you want. I use mine to separate glass from alum on double pane sealed windows. When I get a steel door with a window in it thats what I use. Takes maybe a minute. You may want to where ear plugs though they are louder than a freight train.
