    brittle metal from TV yokes and some transformers.

    What is it? It looks like a magnet but its not. Is it sellable?

    It's ferrite. I put it with what my yard calls mixed metals, others call it shred, light tin etc.

    Hit with a magnet and it will be apparent that it contains iron. This is why carrying a magnet is recomended. Keep up the work and you will learn quickly. Mike.

    Be sure to also check the clamps, usually one has a steel bolt with SS clamp and the other is all SS.
