Well howdy dude. Should post in the introduction forum a post saying hi as well. What exactly is millberry copper?
gagneet23, ho about an introduction? Your use of the term 'millberry' has me curious.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
I was wondering that too

Millberry simply refers to high-grade stripped copper wire.
most of the millberry copper wiring i have found has been between switchgears and transformers
between the transformers and bussbars
from the disconnect switch on the bussbar to the load center/main breaker panel
and from the load center/main breaker panel to the machinery

But that's not usually a "scrapper term". Why are you only looking for millberry?

If you enjoy your freedom, thank a vet.
It can be found in the next town over from Mayberry.
"Millberry" isnt easy to come by. Its usually what they use to wire up a factory or eletrical cables running to big cranes and such. It aint something that you will find out garbage picking.
I see that stuff all day, every day. Granted that's because I work at a copper plant
I wish I could just have the scrap that they waste here lol
"Berry" is the ISRI spec for #1 clean, untinned, uncoated. It is implied that Berry is ready for the mill, no question...the armchair wordsmith in me would guess that "mill" was first put in front of it as an adjective, to emphasize the quality and selectivity. Especially among overseas buyers you see the expression "Mill Berry" or "Millberry"
Birch, Barley, Candy...
The ISRI names are fun, if you can remember 'em. I sure can't. Except ELMO that's an easy one. ELectric MOtors
