Random Metal

Let me start by saying that I have never scrapped any metal before. I recently started cleaning out my parents garage and I am considering scrapping the metal items that I find. My collection consists of very random pieces of metal, such as door knobs and sink faucets. I also have some larger items like a small roll of fencing from a garden, a few painted bike frames, and a roll of sheet metal from a medium sized children's pool. I am just wondering if I would get any value from scrapping a bunch of different things like this? For some reason, I am assuming that scrappers generally bring in large items, like washing machines and refrigerators.

all metal is worth money, when i first started i would take single faucets (probably brass) and all sorts of single items, try to goto the yard when they are a little slow and maybe the guys can take time to show you they did for me.

I carried 47 used interior doorknob sets to my booth at the flea market saturday. I got $2.00 ea. for them and only have 3 left. They were free so it was pure profit. The faucet handles do well too when i get them. Just cause they are metal doesn't necessarily mean they are scrap, check everything out first.
