Can pet food cans be included with regular aluminum cans (beer,soda,etc) if they have paper labels removed ?:confused:

It would probably be best to check with whatever yard you use. Some will allow it, some won't. Mine doesn't.
Yes, But you might want to check with your yard first just to be safe. Not all yards are created equal.
Also I would think that they are steel not Al. So check them with a magnet and if they are steel toss them in with the shred. Mike.
"Profit begins when you buy NOT when you sell." {quote passed down to me from a wise man}
Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
most yards will reject tin cans, if they are aluminum id put them with clean aluminum and not aluminum cans just to be safe
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE
My yard will take any aluminum can (pop, pet food, sardine cans, etc) as "alu can" as long as labels are removed and there are no steel rivets on the pull tabs.
Yeah, I get a dime higher for cans, too. One trip before I learned that, I had 2 55-gallon bags full of pet food cans that I had dumped into the mix with my other aluminum and the scale guy told me (after I dumped it, of course) that I should be mixing it in with my cans.
Since then, I mix in any aluminum food cans (and the pull-off lids) in with my cans, and the yard hasn't said a word. It's easily doubled (or more) the weight I take in for cans.
I can turn the aluminium ones in with my other cans just mix them in with no labels. If I brought down a bag full of them (pet food cans only) they may say it is MLC. Still aliminum just a lower price!
As for steel pet food cans I rinse them out and smash them flat and they get mixed in with my Sheet iron / steel.
What I don't understand is why , Soda cans go for 10 cents more than clean sheet Alum...?????? Alum soda or pop cans have A plastic liner inside.
... . Take some HCL dilute it and put a alum canin it and see what happends... ask the scrap yard about this....;;;;
O.K. Don't ask them ;;;; leave it if they are so stupid...
