This is quick money if you can find enough of them, I seem to bring these in on a weekly basis. Most newer blinds are plastic though and not much there to work with. I pile the aluminum ones up until there's enough to mess with, as with anything your efficiency and return is much better with volume. I processed about 20 of them yesterday, different sizes in about 1 hour. When dismantled your left with Aluminum, light steel, brass (sometimes the little gears), plastic, and string ( no value). I use a paper cutter to process the Aluminum blinds, cutting them into 12 to 14 inch sections. On the paper cutter I stack the blinds in 5 to 7 per pile and will lay out 4 piles on the cutter. This way I'm cutting 20 to 30 blinds with each slice. With each cut I sweep the blinds into a 30 Gal. trash can. The ones done yesterday produced 38.6 Lbs. of painted aluminum sold for $.50 a Lb. that's $19.30 in about 1 hour. Have not sold the other metals yet, I was only selling aluminum yesterday. I have buyer that I only sell aluminum to and they buy it sorted into 9 different types counting mixed.
