JG is/was buying them currently. Another buyer was also, but I believe he's put that on hold, if I'm wrong I'm sure he'll pop in and let us know.

Ya search that question in the search box you'll get back a bunch of threads on mylars. Most Recent one has JG's price, an ya can click his name to send'm a pm or email.

Or you can just box'm and send'm to me, I'm just north of ya on a sandbar. :P LOL I kid I kid!

I should be back up and buying within the next month. Unfortunately the house thing isn't going quite like I wanted it to, and it's taking FOREVER, but oh well. I should have some current pricing and be back buying mylar hopefully by the end of the month. Keep stockpiling, and know that my money is good once I can get back in the game.

Just like to say that I miss you guys on the board. Been feeling the effects of everything mentally and haven't been on much lately.

It varies for everyone. One guy swears it 75, another 50, another 100.

I've said it many times before an I'll say it again now...I HAVE 50 or so that weigh in at 1lb 7oz!

These are full size older keyboard mylars. Your weight may vary on them. If your not sure, count up some, and weigh'm an see with your own eyes.

This question is coming up more often then.."Where can I find scrap?" "How much money is in a computer?" "Does anyone break down tvs?" Just cause its becoming a issue will try an take a pic later while being weighed.

BumperX, is who i think he was referring to Happyis.

Edit: Actually in bumps first post on buying them he said 25..I stand corrected. In my research it's about 50ish give or take a couple.
"I average about 25 keyboards per pound. To me it's worth it, because I don't have a local buyer for the keyboards whole, but if I break them down, I can get paid for the plastic and sometimes there is a nice steel plate in there. Plus a small board that sometimes has a gold finger on it."

50 is closer to a lb. lest for me.

So your comment is right on with his as there is 2 mylars + a blank in each keyboard, usually!

Right on Mech...I ignored the keyboard part...lol.

    Thank you for the correction!

For those that don't normally deal with mylars..the middle piece with no tracings is just there to annoy you. lol.

I talked to Jack at relectrocycle a few days ago and he said he is paying 3.00# down from 4.00#. I weighed 50 sheets of mylar and got 1# but your weight might be a little diffrant due to the diffrance in the thicknest of the mylar. Don't forget most buyers won't buy the mylar that has black dots on them, can't refine the silver.

I think the black is a carbon. Good point.
