okay i picked up this electric weed whacker and i'm curious to if i need to discharge it like a tv or if it's all good to tear apart. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

No need to discharge. Just take the battery out to prevent an accident.

alright i got the thing disassembled, i got plastic crap, the battery pack (when i look in i see e-scrap wiring and what looks like a wet cell), should i try to disassemble the battery pack, or just sell it as a battery to my yard?

Do not disassemble battery. What kind of battery is it? You might be able to sell the battery to your scrap yard.

take your axe and wake it a few times till the motor is separated from the plastics. i sometimes will just cut the weed wacker off where the motor is with the plastic on and just put in in the mixed em pile....

Any time I get an electric weedeater, if it works at all, I'll put it on FreeCycle, yep, for free ; ) There's a dollars worth in scrapping it, which takes a half hour to get, and that's about as cheap of advertising you'll get anywhere. Just tell em when they're done with it to give you a call and you'll pick it up, and any other scrap they wanna get rid of : )
