    How to separate old air conditioner copper from aluminum

    I need to know how to separate the copper from the aluminum on this old machine, detailed in the linked photos. I have no tools, but I will rent whatever is necessary. Any help guys? -- imgur(dot)com/a/lctkP -- [replace (dot) with . to fix link]

    good luck it is not worth the time your better off taking a sawzaw and cutting steel ends off and then turning them in whole.they will net u between 1-150 a lb

    cut the copper loops off the ends of the coils after its been discharged, then your left with #2 copper and clean cu/al fin

    current prices in kansas city
    #2 copper $2.60 pound
    copper/aluminum radiators clean $1.40 pound


    theres also steel, insulated copper wire and a compressor and a motor that are worth money
