How do I acquire more wire???

When I firs started scrapping I knew 2 guys that did prewires for alarm companies and these guys would clean up the romex and whatever else after the electricians. They didn't want to strip it so I convinced them to sell to me and I stripped it. About a month ago they both quit and now I'm out 2 reliable sources of Bare Bright. I've got plenty of other things going on amd I'm still making money but its sad seeing my copper stash depleted. How do i get more? If you don't mind sharing, where do you guys get yours?

Ask your friends that quit if any of their co-workers would do the same deal with you. I never heard of an electrician leaving behind wires before.

Man thats unheard of around me. Anything having to do with electricians or HVAC around me has fences or locks on the dumpster.

Good idea cummins, thanks! I've been doing primarily e-scrap lately but i really hate that I have no wire supplier at the moment. Even paying up to $1.25 per pound for romex I was making good money with my wire stripper. Now my stripper is lonely

Maybe check out contractors/ house builders/ remodelers. There's always someone to do clean-up.

I do the same as Cummins. Electrical contractor that I go to will put bigger stuf out by the fence(conduit and braker boxes) and they let me dig through the dumpster and get all kinds of stuff.
