For awhile I would just sell them as electric motors but then I saw this rebuild shop for starters and alternators. so I went in there and was able to sell them for$5.00 each. Is this a good deal or am I getting ripped off?

1.00 to 1.50? Could swear starters are heavier than that. 30 cents a pound.

Find a core guy or local car junk yard would work if needed. But i havent got less than 4.00 each for an engine accessory since 2002

alternators average $5 for scrap here, I usually don't mess with starters, I have sold a few alternators to the rebuild shop here, I think I got $8 for them, they are out of the way from my normal rounds so I usually don't think about them
