My question
Are transformers and electric motors classed together as one or should they be seperated.
Thanks for your answers

It's entirely up to the discretion of the yards. Every yard I have been too will take a transformer at motor price. I know some yards call this "copper breakage" because of the high copper concentration of other types of mechanisms other than motors.
Things I have sold as copper breakage: Motors, Alternators, Transformers, Inductors, Starters, Computer Power Supplies, and
microwave magnetrons.
Really, if you can find something that has over 20% copper by weight, then you *should* be able to sell it at motor price.
