Where to take CRTs in OKC?

The tube itself, already processed. Just the tube. Thanks! (and yes IDAGS, it was inconclusive)

You'll have to check around but up here my local Goodwill will take them if I put them back in the plastic case and screw them back down.

Cool, will do. That was one of the places that turned up in my search result, but it didn't have any specific details. I thought I'd see if anyone had any personal experience before I let my fingers do the walking. Well, I guess the internet is the modern way of letting your fingers do the walking.

You'll find out soon enough that not all Goodwill's are in on that program, so you'll have to check with someone in charge of your local one's.

Best buys also do the same recycle.program...my goodwill started *****in about tvs so I started taking them to best buy up the street. Just put the back cover back on and screw it in.

They do have limits so calls yours to see what those are. Generally nothing over 32" and no co sole tvs. And sone limits the number you can drop off per day.

Yup, so my Best Buy will take 2 per day, in the case. Thanks for the personal experience. Google just kept sending me to the same outdated state environmental links.

At least you have an option now..and you can always get someone else to drop 2 more off that day if it is close. I do tvs but they are not my 1st or 2nd choice of course because of the extra steps to get rid of the carcass....I will take a computer or pri ter any day over one...but that being said I will take them if nothing else is there

Definitely not my first choice, now that I have learned. On the other hand, if there is a tv or monitor just sitting there, I'm gonna pick it up. I picked up a lot of about 18 towers and monitors from a telemarketing company. The towers were stripped and sold within 5 days. I still have 9 monitor carcasses sitting in my driveway! Good news is, big trash day for our town is next week, and another town 30 miles away is the next 4 weekends!

Came across this site a few days ago. I haven't checked into it. Might be a viable source for getting rid of tubes.
