Ok well I have been iN this business 25 plus years, the only way to survive in my opinion is to have a steady flow of material, you also have to work smart, that being said with a limited bank roll the way to go is auto body shops, they are always concentrated in certain areas of the city cutting down on endless time wasting searches. They always have scrap sometimes more then others but they always have it.We do not pay them for there tin/shread but I do buy there rims, rads batteries, harness wire and what ever else they have.i would advise you to get some business cards made with auto body shops as your main business,if you do not already,Have some shirts made with your company name and logo on them.Start handing out your cards offer steady reliable pick ups that's what they want, pick up a portable scale on e-bay to weigh there material,it will not happen over night but it will happen, good luck
