Is there anything other than remove the top of this to get stainless price? I picked it up tonight scrapping. Thanks. Hmm can't figure out how to upload a picture lol. But it looks like a big oxygen tank with brass and copper on top.

How big is it? If it's about 3 feet tall, it might be a fire extinguisher and worth more than scrap stainless. Some of those type tanks also have a brass tube inside, but it should come out attached to the top when you remove it. As long as you take off any gauges brass fittings or hoses, you should be good to go.
Welcome to the forum, but it would be a good idea for you to post an introduction in the "introduce myself" area.
it's about 4 feet tall. it is definitely a water tank it's a water softener tank to be exact. there is about 2 to 3 pounds of brass fitting in top. just wasnt sure if I only had to get the top off or if there was more to it. thanks for the welcome. I have been reading the forums for almost a year now but finally decided to sign up
there I made my profile pic the picture of the tank lol
The one I just took apart had some clips and a couple of screws to pop the top off, nothing inside of value.
Course my tank was fiberglass

Ok, I see it. Yes, get the top off and make sure it's not full of salt or deposits and that should work.
ok thanks! Looks to have the top part sealed on so I'll just grind it off in the morning. if I did it now my neighbors would kill me lol.
Try to stick a magnet to the tank before you go to all the trouble.
