    Scrapping Cameras

I see people are always buying cellphones for scrap. So I got curious and opened up a couple older digital cameras. It seems there is a bit of gold in them and a few boards. Does anyone buy these? Is there even any money to be made off them?

I sold a couple cameras to planetgreenrecycle.com a few months ago and got $0.25/ea. I just checked the price and it's down to $0.05/ea. and $0.10 if it works. Not a gold mine there so to speak but it's better than shred price. I just throw 'em in the box when I send in ink cartridges. Someone else might have a better idea.

You could tear 'em apart and save the boards if they're nice, not sure what grade they would go as. Problem is they're so small, even if you got a good price on the boards they're so light you would only get about 10 cents anyways. Not worth the time to tear apart unless you're bored or something lol.

I went ahead and took out one of the internal lenses. It works as a magnifying glass. I use it for checking out my coins for errors.

Is it possible i could just stick the boards with my mid grade? Theyre small, weigh almost nothing but they have more gold than most of my mid grade combined it seems

If you put em with mid grade that's most likely what they'll be paid out as. If you think they're a higher grade best get with a buyer and have their opinion on it first

Throw the boards into your OMG bucket till you have enough then throw them up on Ebay with really good pictures and watch them go.
Sometimes you have to do that to get decent value out of oddball boards that may not carry any weight.
