    Commercial range hoods

Has anyone removed and or scrapped one. There are two for free about 45 miles from me. Have to be disassembled and hauled off. I have no idea how hard this is or if its worth the effort.

Opinion, not experience is that it is not worth the scrap price. If they still work, it might be worth the time and expense to tear them out and resell them.

There is a lot of stainless in these things...but best to double check before you start on the project. They are usually suspended by cables. The only one I took out (it was only 12 feet), I brought my lift to support the whole thing, and then cut the cables. There is some ductwork to deal with too, but it can be removed pretty easily.

I'll just say that this isn't a super easy removal process, and you could cause some major damage removing it. The one I was taking out was in a building set for demolition.

all range hoods I have worked under were magnetic and were suspended by cables as well.
With any luck its already down but obviously can't fit through the door and needs to be "disassembled" and removed
Worth a look that's quite a bit of stainless
