Where to find zinc scrap?

I've never really done scrapping before and am new to this, am looking to find some zinc and maybe lead. Mainly zinc though, where can I find zinc? Might melt down to make bars and sell on ebay

Wheel weights. Sort out the lead and sell them to bullet casters. Sort out the steel and sell it to the scrap yard. Keep the zinc that is left.

If you are going to melt it you should know that there might be magnesium mixed in. I've read somewhere on the forum that magnesium can be dangerous when you are melting it. You might want to do some research on it.

I have to ask. What is the value of the zinc? What do the people that buy the bars use it for. I have some zinc wheel weights I dont know what to do with. The only use ive ever heard it is attacking it to boat hulls to prevent corrosion.

its not worth much its just people buy the bars because they look cool. Theyll sell like $5 - $6 for a 1 pound bar on ebay + shipping
zinc is currently at $0.93 per pound

so i made my first zinc bar today out of pennies :P
(not very good because i didn't use enough pennies to fill the mold)

Don't forget to scrap the pepsi can! An pretty cool bar, reminds me of that fella that used to make molds for cars with Aluminum I think it was.
