    Samsung Washer

So I tore into a front loader that I picked up and found this....

    http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w...psdj1hd2fz.jpg

    and this...

    http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w...psqqyudsjx.jpg

What are they and is there anything to break down on them? I see copper windings on the first one but it looks like a major production to get it out. There's some gold color mesh on the second one - ?

Also, what are these I snatched from the circuit board?

Being in the exploratory phase of scrapping I opened one up and found what seems to be a nonmetallic ribbon wrapped in paper and a little oil inside. Is there any reason to harvest these?

    Thanks for all your help!!

It doesn't look like those are from a washing machine, but a microwave.

The first is a transformer, most likely aluminum windings. Shave a bit of the outside of a wire off with a knife, and see what color it is. If it's aluminum, not worth taking apart.
The second is a magnetron. My yard buys these as mixed copper aluminum transformers.
Last is a capacitor, no real value.

The blue thing on the left (3rd pic.) is a can capacitor. No real value. They make a mess with the oily residue. I know, I've blown up a few.

Shoot, your right that was from a microwave. I broke down a bunch of stuff yesterday and got them mixed up. Thanks for ID's kinda of hard to search for stuff when you don't know what they're called.

On the magnatron, watch out for the pink beryllium, handle it with gloves and don't break. Google beryllium and read up on it, Put it in a plastic bag and throw away.

You can see it in the mag. pic.
