The foil is the same Ali thats in cans. But the Ali can smelters don't like it since its thinner and has more oxide in it.
It takes cryolite and electricity to make Ali from oxide.
After melting the cans down, they are left with a mess of Ali oxides that they have to get rid of.
Basicly the can manufacturerers don't want the oxides in their metal.
They can refuse to buy from the scrapmetal dealer, or fine them if theres too much contaminates in the Ali they buy.
To get rid of foil, just jam it into a Ali can, not a drinking can, deoderant can or a cars coil can will do.
Then use a hammer to hammer it in solid, then fold the end over, then chuck it in with your 'Domestic Ali'.
Don't put it in with the drinking cans, be good to your scrap dealer, who else gives you solid ca$h for rubbish?
