Jeeps seem to have a lot of problems with their factory cats rusting apart or breaking up inside. I've seen too many with aftermarket cats

They're pretty easy to spot, though, as the original Jeep cats are easily recognizable from an AM.
Domestic wire/foil cats should still be $6-7 per pound, even with the lower market. On the bigger oval ones, it's actually the smaller 6" one that can have the good numbers. The 6" go by number, the 8" are pretty much just a Small Domestic, and the 10" pays a standard "Jeep" price like the older straight-edge style Jeeps.
