I got some satellite equipment curbco and I don't know if I should tear it apart or e-bay it. I was hoping someone would recognize it and let me know if it should stay or it should go.
Thanks in advance for the help.

yeah I remember the mountable satellite phones....these had a handset like an old bagphone. These were last manufactured in 1998 form my quick research.
there was a recent sale of 2 units like this as a pair for repair for $40 on Ebay. Looks like it is still used and sold....most places hat would use this would be as a backup to a land line (mission critical things) OR a place that rarely uses it to call out but it would cost more to run a landline.
I sold similar ones with Verizon back in the day (Iridium)...actually sold $50K worth to ATT landline of all places...the biggest sale at the time in the Georgia market and I was just a retail rep that actually knew a bit about it and worked the sale LOL....$5K in commissions actually from what I remember LOL.
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell
Thank you. If I put it on the bay, how should I list it? Satellite Phone equipment?
I would use the model number etc....that is how people search. Here is the title of the sold listing "Westinghouse Series 1000 Mobile Satellite Telephone System For Parts/Repair".
If you want to see the original listing...here you go....
Westinghouse Series 1000 Mobile Satellite Telephone System for Parts Repair 8324 | eBay
both
yeah I would throw it up there for $15-19.99 and see what happens...it will certainly be far more than the 2 pounds or so of high grade boards I am betting if you took it apart...they would be very similar to cell phone boards, just not as compact.
