Newbie question.. What is this, and is it sellable?

Ok, I'm new at this. Found these on some boards in a phonecard machine. Should I break them down (are there goodies inside??), or are they CBMs? What to do with them?

    thanks!

That looks like a stepping motor, I could be wrong.

It's some kind of motor because it says Motor and 120RPM on the side. My yard pays 10 cents a pound for motors and since I don't get that many, I throw them in the shred pile. You should check with your yard and see how much they pay for electric motors.

Do you have a shot of the label? I thought it was a stepping motor but I don't think so anymore because there's only 2 wires. Anyway, there are buyers in the buyers/sellers section that buys these.

I think I got a few of these on a pick up last week . Looks like the bottom half of a pool/chlorine filter . I will cross reference to be sure . Keep you posted .

I would take off the piece of brass on the motor shaft...just one set screw. Start two buckets. One for motors, one for brass.

    Brian,

I would say its a stepper motor like others said remove the Brass Shaft, Cut the wire and throw the motor into a Copper winding bucket.
Local price I got on Saturday for motors was 0.15lb
I'm going to recycle the world.
