There are a lot of tiny Allen screws in the VCR heads that are a royal pain to remove. It is not worth it to break them down. The other items are hard drive motors. It is the same story. Take some apart, write down the time it takes to break them down. Then compare the price you will get for the separated items. Compare that to the dirty aluminum price then you can decide.

or electric motors depending on which one is paying more
I throw them in a bin till i either get sick of them and scrap as motors or when i run low on stuff or have the time to tear down further
But don't forget to pull the mylar w/gold dots off the hard drive motor. They add up after awhile.Any tips on how to tear vcr heads and the things in hard drives that resemble small vcr heads?
Otherwise the 2 just go in my motor bucket.

Awesome, thanks guys! Really appreciate the help. Got them open. Now I'm getting ready to file over 100 connectors from cable cords to find out which are brass. Wish me luck! lol
