Electrical Wire from Petroleum refinery plant

Good day everyone! My dad recently acquired some electrical wires from a fuel refinery plant. Since I'm not allowed to upload files or post images here yet, I will try to describe it instead:

The wires' vary in diameter - from 1 to 2 inches. Inside those wires are stranded wires. Inside the stranded wires are "silver" coated copper wires.



Since this is the first time we encountered such types of wires, we were wondering if the coating is indeed made of pure silver.

My questions are as follows:

1.) Can anyone confirm if the coating is indeed pure silver?
2.) If it is indeed silver, is there a way to separate the silver from the copper wires? How?
3.) Does anyone know the brand new market price of such types of wires?

There are several old posts about this. You could have answered the question yourself by putting some effort in with a simple search instead of wanting others to do your work for you.

As mentioned it is likely tin. It definitely isn't silver.
