    Au storm window's

    Hi Guys

I have a question about some storm windows I just got from a friend who is a builder. I Have been scrapping for a little while..so to you veteran scrappers I'm still a rookie

So I have all the storm windows from a house, even the door. I have taken the glass out and those little cast pieces that hold them together and any screws etc.
I know this stuff is extruded Al, but when I take it to the yard will they make a different between Al that is totally clean and pieces that have paint on them?

    Thanks for any info

If you found windows made of gold, I want to know where you have been scrapping. Never sell gold except straight to a refinery or refine it yourself.

Hi guy's, I think every yard is different in their sorting, and what is what, but my yard would take it all same price, the paint would not matter. Mike

Check with your yard, but extrusion usually has all steel (screws), glass, screen and diecast (little tabs that hold the corners together) and sheet aluminum removed.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
