i have questions about uploading photos and other stuff on this forum, not much help is here. Can someone please help me out?

To upload pics, use the go advanced button located underneath the quick reply box. You can post and attach pics from there.

I upload to photobucket.com then you can copy the http stuff and paste into your post.Once you do it a couple of times it goes pretty quick also use for Craigslist...bigger pics so people can see your goods better.

Just using the advanced button to upload pic's will only take small pictures. It kept rejecting mine, till someone told me about photobucket. Upload to photobucket and then over to your post. enjoy,,

Also, if ever you come across something online, you can add IMG tags to the URL and post it.

So for example the pic below is

http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/2...-truck-010.jpg

By adding [img] (URL goes here) [/img] tags, it becomes

In the past, I'd uploaded an image directly to the site here. I was going to upload one yesterday, and when I used the "manage attachments" button, the only option available was to enter the URL of the picture. The pic I'd posted before is still here, but there doesn't seem to be an option to browse my own computer for uploading any more.

Did something change, that the site itself is no longer accepting images? I don't maintain a photbucket, or similar, site myself. :confused:

Yes you need Photobucket or similar...Pretty easy to set up and use tho.

Sorry to say I think he and the pics have left.

Right there is one of the pitfalls of not hosting the images here, on the forum's own server.

I just posted my first pic on this forum earlier today (or yerterday? it's late) along with some misspelling. lol But I gotta admit it is somewhat confusing to get the pics on here. Wish there was an easier way.

IIRC Gus' wife or gf deleted the folder that had his pics.

I miss Gus. As grumpy as he was at times, he was a wealth of knowledge.

Yeah, I did some research and read this http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/showt...ucket-Tutorial by CMHN. Easy to understand and worked perfect. I just didn't necessarily want to have to open an account with Photobucket, but it is what it is.

best way to upload pics is thru http://www.imagebam.com/ then you just copy and paste the code they give you.
