propane and other types of tanks

Hello, just wondering if anyone buys used propane and other tanks. I have a lot of used propane tanks and fireextinguisshers and i m not sure where to get rid of them

You will need to call your local scrap yard and ask them their requirements for bringing those in. Chances are they will need to have a hole in them somewhere meaning the valaves removed at the least.

Our local yard takes them after we remove the valve(mostly brass) and we have to cut them in half. Evidently they've had one blow up on them in the past. That would be a rude awakening,,,:eek:

I had a fire extinguisher recently and it was aluminum. Might want to double check yours.
