    Hi,

My advice would be to sell them as is. There are plenty of buyers here and I'm sure some of them would interested in what you have. Contact them. Send them pictures and keep collecting more until you find a buyer. There's no need to get in a big hurry. You're not going to get rich from 11 lbs of chips.

I would check with ebay sales in the EU for similar cpu's that have sold in the EU.

I have been a member on the forum for several years and have yet to read about any buyers in the EU. If you locate some please share with the forum. I have seen videos on youtube of companies that process ewaste but nothing about them buying it. 73, Mike

Go join the gold refining forum. Put a ad up in the for sale section. There's a lot of members from EU on there.

If you haven't read anything on the expected gold yield from those style of chips you should. Mixed chips like yours sell for $250 a pound and up on ebay. You need to sort those out by size and the number of pins on each chip.

This info is just for gold cap and gold lead ceramic chips. Socket pulls with no solder. This has no bearing on CPUs.

The 14 and 16 pin chips will have the most gold content. Upward to 10 or more grams per pound.

As the pin count goes up the gold yield goes down. Still not a bad yield on the chips but not as good.

When collecting gold plated escrap the smaller the item the better the yield per pound.

    Hi,

That is a great news ! I was not thinking there were that quantity of gold in 1 lbs of ceramic chip. 10g is a lot.
Can someone confirm me that ?
Thanks that encourage me to continue gold scraping

Take a little time and sort your chips that you have. Sort while you watch tv it may take you a couple hours between watching a show and sorting the chips.
From your OP you have connectors to. Just sort the chips by how many pins or leads the chips have.

The real money is in the chips. The ceramic chips with gold legs and gold cap are the real money. The gold plated cap is attached with a gold tin solder 80% gold and 20% tin. Take one of the larger chips with more pins and lay some 14 or 16 pin chips on top of it and see how many of the smaller chips will cover the bigger chip.

Smaller things have a higher gold content than larger things. It takes more to make a pound but the yield in gold may double.

The brown colored ceramic chips with the window are about worthless. To big and weighty to get a good return on gold by the pound of chips.
