    Setting up Freon Recovery Station/s...

    Hi there
we are ready to take it to the next step. Getting a second warehouse and will have enough space to do our own refrigerant recovery.
I got the 70+ page report and got the basics down.
    Just wondering a few things.
I need at least 1 tank per type of refrigerant. We do 98% fridges/freezers and a few occasional AC units.
So am I correct that I need one tank each for R12 R22 and R134A? Am I missing anything?
Ideally 2 each, but here is the next question.
All the equipment runs me about $100 correct?
And the tanks are extra. Should I get 30 or 50 or whatever size?
Seems based on eBay pricing the 30 and 50 lbs tanks are most cost efficient. Plus the bigger ones would take forever to fill at this rate.
I know freonguy says something about one station per type of referigerant to be efficient. makes sense if you do dozens a day. Well, we won't have that many. So it would be ok to use one station, just make ultra certain not to mix types of refigerant right?
Any basic advice how to set it up most effienctly?
    TIA
    Martin

I just use one recovery machine, but different hose/filter setups for each refrigerant. I bought 50 lb tanks - they cost me about 100 each. You will need at least 4 separate tanks. R-12 and 134a for refrigerators. 410a and 22 for air conditioners. You might run into other refrigerants too...so i would advise having an extra tank for that occurrence (restaurant equipment ice makers, frozen yogurt) have different refrigerants most of the time.

I spent about 1500 to get everything that I wanted.

The only concern I've had in the concept of handling refrigerant is working indoors. Should the refrigerant recovery area be outdoors or if indoors should you have an effective exhaust system? Mike

one thing to note...READ freonjoe's threads. You need to have a way to filter the freon and a way to purge your lines...purity affects pricing IMMENSELY...even 1 tenth of a percent....and once you get to a certain contamination, you have to pay to dispose of it (based on what I read on the threads).

Take a few min and do that, ask freonjoe any questions as this is his area of expertise.
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell
