    Brass with copper question

I had seen a post earlier about brass that has copper with it bringing more than dirty brass price. I looked for the post and could not find it. Can someone provide me with the link? Half of my dirty brass has copper as the other metal, and I am thinking about separating it from my other dirty brass, but I would like to look more into it.

My main yard will buy brass with copper as yellow brass, but no brass with copper. Another yard buys it as "brass & copper". Pays about the same as the other yards red brass price

Separate any "irony brass" from "brass with copper" and ask for red brass price. Red brass has a higher copper content than yellow brass. But YMMV

In our area the only issue is if the brass and copper is soldered. If so it;s usually a few cents or more off normal yellow price. Is what it is and I understand because lead free solder is not as easy to extract from a remelt as leaded solder.
