Swimming pool vacuum or skimmer pole.

I picked one of these poles you attach your net to to clean a pool. Expandable etc. Going to prepare it so it hasn't been hit by the grinder yet, but it isnt ferrous - does anyone know if these are alum or stainless? Seems like something that could be picked up cheap or free at a rummage sale.

They're aluminum. I've never seen a stainless steel one

I agree with aluminum. Stainless is heavy.

95% of the time, Aluminum. I've seen magnesium poles too, but those are usually used for concrete work.
