to be in compliance with the EPA your supposed to have your EPA 608 certs and the proper gear to suck the freon out the right way. if your talking about sealed units that are already taken off of what ever they were on and your just trying to get rid of the residual oil just drain it into a bucket and take it to auto zone or your local equivalent. The EPA stuff to do it the right way can be found somewhere on the forum. I got my certs through the forum.
