Experienced Scrapper
I have about 60 Hyundai shock absorbers - new & never been used - looks like they are from early 2000s Hyundai accents - from a storage auction that I won. Was hoping to find out how much these go for as scrap metal - or a better way to get rid of them for some value . They don’t seem to be selling well or quickly online - so I’m trying to find the best outlet for them.

I would see if a pull a part place would be interested in buying them, other than waiting for someone to buy them online they would just be sheet iron only $.06 a pound... so figure out something better than the bottom price!

SOLD Ebay LISTINGS start at $25 for those guys. So if you want to get rid of a bunch, could list 'em for $23 and lower the price by $0.25 every week .
I would personally drive down and pay you 120% scrap price for them if I lived closer - scrapping new parts is a waste IMHO .

If you ain't got storage for em then load em up and scrap em. But if you do have storage for em maybe try selling em for like $5-10 plus shipping on ebay if that covers labor and shipping costs just to get rid of em. I used to do that with small things I found that I couldn't bring myself to scrap just to get em out of the way and maybe help someone who needed it.

Thank you guys for the replies and the advice. Definitely looking at the eBay route i think as they’re not moving on the local selling sites. The .06 cents on the pound just feels too small - even though they were essentially free.
