Best way to get rid of solar panel scrap?

Hi, new user here.
I have a couple boxes filled with broken solar cells (no glass/frame, just bare silicon cells).
I was wondering if there's any way I can sell the scrap to someone else (to extract the silicon/silver). I am not a chemist but it seems like you should be able to etch away the silver with acid (since there's nothing covering the metal pieces)
Any good places that take these? I live in the USA (near the SF/Bay Area to be exact).
