I Have 3 Armature Arms

Armatures - I take a thin-blade screwdriver and hammer. Start the cardboard/plastic dividers out by pounding on then from one side. Then grab and pull with a needle nose pliers. Pull the divider out. Then just start unwinding the copper wire. It's time-consuming and I don't do them any more as I have too much else to do.

Alternately, build up a real hot fire in the wood stove. Throw in a few armatures. Cover completely with wood or coals. Let alone for 3 or 4 minutes. Use a rod or wire to pull them out and drop into a bucket of water (LOTS of steam). Dividers are completely burned away and wire will practically fall off.
