I just broke apart a small motor from microwave turntable and the windings are hair thin and dark greenish in color. I tried scratching it to see true color but they are so thin you cant even tell. Are these aluminum windings or coated copper?

I did the same less than a week ago. Mine was red, but i just threw it in with copper. My ask doesnt ask. And im pretty sure its copper anyway.
Check by weight. They are probably copper, most hair wire is but if they seem to weigh nothing you may have aluminum.
If it's greenish corrosion, it's likely copper.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
