    opportunity I need input on...

Ok, I've been bidding on a few things on the Gov. Liquidation website. In particular, I found a base near me that has 471 rolls of US military communication wire. Havent seen it in person, but looked at the pictures http://www.govliquidation.com/auctio...ategoryId=1004

Anyway, sight unseen, i was wondering if i should get in on the bidding. I did participate up to $700, but it is far past that at $2,200. They have the stated weight at around 8k lbs, but that includes pallets and the spools, so i'm guessing its closer to 7k lbs.,. What would you estimate to be the least amount a yard would take with minimal effort (no stripping)? It would just take the time to pickup with a big trailer. I wish i had the time to go there first and inspect, but auction ends Tues and they are closed tomorrow. Anyway, your input is appreciated as i get these things coming available all the time.

Chances are that the price will go far beyond scrap value to someone that can use it. Please let us know what the final price ends up being.

so far bid is at $4,100. I expect a flurry of activity before it closes in about an hour and a half though. I was thinking of going up to $5k, figuring if i got a buck a pound as-is i might make out with some profit...i dont know, too big a gamble probably

Communication wire is below #2 insulated. I get 30 or 40 cents / lb around here for comm grade wire. Your volume may help the price some.

Let me take that back...I did get 1.25 for the telephone wire, and $1 for the ins. #2 I just looked at my post where I put my prices.../lookin back on that now, seems like the #2 should have paid higher than the phone wire..?.?.?.idk
