    Aluminium Bike Frames question..

I tried to search for this, but still have a question..

I have a large number of alluminium mountain bike frames at the moment, and can't seem to get a straight answer from my local yard.

What do you guys think this would be classed as.
    Extrusion, cast etc??

    many thanks.

    Adam

Some high end bicycle frames could be made from titanium.

    thanks for the replies fellas!

My main hobby is Vintage BMX, so I am not new to fixing them up lol

however these came from an outdoor education centre and after 4 years on "ABUSE" they are beyond any value, and require too much work to get them ridable again.

They are deffinately Alluminium, I will go Extrusion and see how I fair!

It was $1.40 per kg AUD a month ago (around 70c a lb)

    thanks again

    I will report back later

titatnium frames new usually go for a few thousand, so used... a few hundred to maybe a cool thousand if the condition is good.

aluminum frames are also usually higher end than steel ones and will sell for 25+ bucks for frames off a stock bike and a few hundred for aftermarket frames
