Ok so without knowing the laws, I happened to pick up some Rail Road spikes today a long with a heavy iron plate (I just started scrapping as a real hobby/income). The pieces were just scattered and not part of any setup. Its Sunday..and cannot call any places right now to look and see. From what I am reading though when I started looking up average or guesstimate ideas, it seems it is illegal to have this stuff?

I am trying to look up tx law's over it but I see nothing? I was told it was tress passing which is odd as I walked tracks as a kid all the time and cops never cared. Free country? Anyway I was just hoping to know if I just wasted my time or if anyone knows of a place that takes it. Its not a lot just maybe 10 spikes and 1 plate. Not looking to break any laws.
