    Have a few questions

I live in New Jersey. My friend and I scrapped our first TV today. We took all the copper and aluminum out. We rolled all the copper into a ball. Is there anything else in the TV we can use? Also I have a lot of amp wire and speaker wire in my garage is it worth stripping every wire or just the large wire? Do I separate all the wire? also what else is good to scrap? Thanks for any advice.

Thanks Those pictures helped. Everything on here is just so much to take it and a little confusing. The wires really confuse me. Never stripped wires before and I stripped about half of the wires I had and my hands are killing me lol.

I personaly only strip the degausing wire from tv's. rest go in the insulated bucket. Yard here pays around a buck a pound for the insulated wire. I also pull the copper breakage parts of the boards of tv's and put them in the motor bucket. Yards pays $.41 a pound for those. Hope that helps some.

rcvikes80, i would be careful with the tvs.. that leaded glass is hard to get rid of here in jersey without paying to dispose of it. the landfills wont take it as of Jan 1, 2011... and they wont collect them on bulk garbage days. the degaussing cable is nice, but for me, its not worth the headaches of disposing of the plastic and glass i am left with.
