Acid and lead sounds like an interesting experiment. Wonder if I could start my car with it?

I give up. I just plain give up.
So, after a year and a half of this thread we still don't know where to sell them at. LOL

I know where you can sell true pewter at, but since we can't agree what is pewter and what isn't, I don't think the person is going to risk paying all that money out sight unseen. Money makes people blind, but it gives me a chuckle.
Not sure if this has much bearing on the prices in the US but pewter is quite common in the UK. When i say common i don't mean we get tons of it, but we get enough to warrant putting it to the side. The buyer i have paid me around £9 per kg for it about 3 months ago. That's around $7 a lb. With the recent drop i'd probably get the equivalent of about $5 a lb now.
I don't have to separate the different types at all. I assume that it is bought on an 85% tin basis given the price difference between pure tin and pewter. It's a shame shipping is so much across the water because there are some big buyers of tin alloys in the UK.
