Red face Question on Dismantleing Cell Phone Chargers

I was given the job of taking the plug ends to cell phone chargers for the brass prongs but when I open them up I am getting the copper too. Does anybody know what the wire is before you get to the copper after you cut away the tape and is there anything else to pull from those boards? And do I toss what is left of the boards into the #2 boards even though they are small? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably low grade board, too small to pull the tiny transformer, just not worth it.

I took apart like 5 recently and the boards are all low grade and the only decent things is the copper around the steel casing and obviously the brass prongs. Nothing else I found.

Most will be low grade...but some chargers have a brain that will prevent them from over charging. The cords that have the "brain" have a small board in them that would be high grade for the fact of the chips that are installed on it.

One thing to keep in mind. I will have to try to find one of these smart chargers to show you what I am talking about.
