Do you want a section for non-metal recycling?

I just wanted to throw up a quick poll and see how many of you would want and/or more importantly, would utilize a new section for non-metal recycling.

There's some topics on here about recycling non-metals, plastics, cardboard, glass etc, and I wouldn't mind adding a new section to the forum for this but it will depend on how many of you want it and will utilize it.

Please take a second to vote in the poll for whether or not there should be a section for non-metal recycling.

Feel free to post any comments/thoughts here in the thread.

    Thanks!

I would say YES! After all recycling, is a LOT more, than just about metal now a days.

However, if I may make a suggestion, I would do this, but would put sub forums underneath a main forum for it.

    Yeah like "Non-Metal Recycling"

Then subforums can be "Plastic, Paper, Cardboard" and so forth.

I agree, would give us more ideas on what we might can scrap, and where. There are things (glass, plastic bottles, etc) I would recycle if I knew of a place that would take it. That might be an idea for another sub forum, specific places that pay for scrap other than metal.

more knowledge to share/learn about recycling. I see no down side, except this is a "scrap metal forum"

This kind of has been done already for scrap metal, as they have a section for buyers and sellers of scrap metal, but to incorporate it for other types of recycle buyers, would be a good idea. Especially if we will be discussing everything about other recyclable items.

Yes, this is a "scrap metal forum" but there is also a thing called diversifying your assets/investments/interests. Good successful companies and websites start out as one thing, and as time goes on they venture into other stuff as well.

What the admin does for this forum by creating a poll before spending on just doing it, is the way any owner of a site should do it. This tells it's members that the owner actually cares about the inputs of it's members.

Well, looks like we're going to have a section for non-metal recycling! We will create the new section today or tomorrow and will move all relevant threads already on the forum into it.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to participate in the poll/discussion.

    Happy Cyber-Monday as well !

Go to this website type in your zipcode find a goodwill store near you and take your tv/crt's to them after you strip them out.

    http://reconnectpartnership.com/

Make sure and call them first and make sure they are part of the program. Better to double check then to show up with a load and not be able to unload them. I take all my stripped out units to the goodwill a mile from my house.

Just wanted to say that the Admin is more responsive to his members than any other board I'm a member of.

Just wanted to comment on how responsive to his members the Admin is. I've been a member on other boards where you couldn't even get the Admins/Mods to answer a message. Here, I made a suggestion about expanding to non-metal scrap and I think it was less than an hour and he had this poll up. Nice Job.

I see the section has been added, but not what I thought it would be...

The way it is now, I see it causing a bit of chaos.
