tow behind air compressor

Need opinions. I seen this tow behind air compressor with seized engine. Something tells me its at least 1500-2000lbs, but cant find gvr online. If its 2000 lbs, then its 40 profit at 20c a lb. Hoping it weighs more Any ideas? Was thinking of buying and hauling it straight to the yard, but don't want to lose money.

P.s I know what ya thinking..fix it resell. No time. Not that Im not capable, just busy with other things. As well as storage comes into play.

Poor pictures, cant see if the compressor is a piston, rotary vane or screw, should be two rads, one for the engine the other to separate the oil from the air also cool the air.

I do not think his phone has been ringing off the hook, flash the cash a hundred dollar bill should take it home. Scrap it is the right idea, not worth fixing.

Maybe you'll get lucky and get an Atlas Copco hammer or a drill, that machine was much to small for sand blasting.

WOWWWWow. Jesus....if that was me, I would be hitting myself with a whip or something. Didn't the guy hear of 3/4 chains with binders??? Or even 5/8... Crap man...lol. Nice D21!!!!! That's a lot of tractor, those are pretty popular among the sled pullers around here and an awesome machine for farming as well... simply outdated but the old timers still get a lot of use out of them... As for the original topic, yea I'm sure you can steal the thing but sorry for a useless reply I don't have a clue of the weight.

If you buy it, be sure to pull the brass valves, radiators, etc

I did a search and 1,900 lbs and up is what I found. Compressor head might be worth something to someone. Who knows.




As for the tractor, that looks like what would happen if someone had a 1/2 ton and no brake controller.

That's an air compressor?? :eek: It's freaking huge!!

You could run your small air chisel off that compressor, there is a regulator to dummy the air flow.

If a large ship, barge or bridge needs repainting the old is sand blasted away first. The lettering in headstones are sand blasted in, the letters are stenciled out of a rubber mat the exposed lettering gets cut into the stone.

Using a small shop compressor you can make a stencil to cover a plate of glass where you do not want to cut lettering, You see this type of etched glass where a automotive logo has been cut into the rear window or the glass doors of a neighborhood pub.

The old method to etch glass was to use hydrofluoric acid, very dangerous stuff best left alone.

Another method is to chip the glass using hoof glue, you can get creative on the cheap.



Ahh yes we were discussing air compressors, the guy in the video is sandblasting with a very large compressor.

My brother runs a sprinkler repair business and does sprinkler blow outs. Also does combine clean outs so that seed isn't spread between fields.

His is an IR 185. Meaning it has 185 cfm. Compare that with a home compressor that might have between 2 and 7 cfm.

Moves a lot of air to say the least.

To be in this business you also have to belong to the actors guild. Flash the cash and put on your best po boy face. My money is on you, $100.00 buys it.

They like to hear, I'll give you a hundred to make it go away ( at this point your waving the cash ) as is where is no warranty, be assertive. The guy that owns it knows it is scrap and really doesn't want to be bothered with answering questions over the telephone over it. Also no time to take it into the scrap yard, to him its small change. Your providing a service.
