No you don't have to remove wires and such, at least where I go you could just load it up and dump it off. What ever they pay they pay,(per pound that is).
You can guess the weight when you move it, if not you will know about how much they weigh in short time dealing with them much.
I do feel it is a shame that you don't try to separate the metals at least a little bit.
